The aluminum threshold is made of anodized, brushed aluminum. As a material, aluminum is softer than stainless steel, which makes it easier to work as required by the installation site. An aluminum threshold is suitable, for example, for renovation projects where dimensional variations occur even for individual doorways.
The plywood strip included in the package reaches from "post to post", so that the waterproofing continues as a single unit at the wall, floor and the flood threshold entering the doorway. The aluminum profile to be installed on top of the plywood strip is also of the same size, so that moisture cannot easily affect the frame or surface moldings. The threshold is notched into the door frame, so the seam between the threshold and the frame remains neat.
