Private customers

How can I contact you?

We serve private customers in person at our shop at Ruoppitie 2, 80100 Joensuu, Monday to Friday, 7 am–4 pm.

Products, materials and cutting requirements often depend on the individual job, so visiting us is usually the quickest and most reliable way to get things sorted. We can avoid misunderstandings and find the right solution in one go.

Film-faced, farm, “waterproof” and wire-mesh plywood — what is the difference?

One familiar material goes by many names 🙂

  • Film-faced plywood (filmivaneri): Plywood bonded and coated with weather-resistant phenolic resin. It is usually brown.
  • Farm plywood (maatilavaneri): Film-faced plywood with a yellow face on one side.
  • “Waterproof plywood” (vesivaneri): A common Finnish name for film-faced plywood.
  • Wire-mesh surface (viirapinta): The patterned, textured face of film-faced plywood, which provides good grip.
  • Panel thicknesses range from 4–40 mm.

In practice, these names refer to coated, weather-resistant plywood used outdoors and in applications requiring wear resistance. The main differences are the surface, colour and intended use.

Can I buy small pieces of plywood?

Yes! We sell small quantities too.

  • Depending on how busy we are, cutting can often be done while you wait.
  • Otherwise, we will let you know when your order is ready to collect.

We also have 👉 offcuts from €1 per piece, while stocks last. Cutting offcuts starts from €10.

I need new plywood for my trailer

The most common thicknesses for trailer floor plywood are 9 and 12 mm. The material is film-faced plywood with a wire-mesh surface. Here is the easiest way to get started:

  1. Measure the floor panel size you need.
  2. Visit our shop at Ruoppitie 2, 80100 Joensuu.
  3. Bring your trailer along if possible.

👉 That way, we can get the dimensions right first time.

How much does plywood cost?

The price depends on the material, thickness, dimensions and cutting. Here are two examples:

  • 9 mm trailer floor panel: approximately €38/m², including VAT.
  • 16 mm melamine-faced chipboard shelf panel: approximately €37/m², including VAT.
