Softwood plywood is usually made from spruce. It is lighter than birch plywood while remaining rigid and dimensionally stable. It is easy to cut, machine and fix using ordinary woodworking tools.

Applications include roofs, walls, floors, site structures, packaging, boxes, fencing and protection. Pine plywood also suits interior linings, furniture and woodworking.
