Kiilax stair protectors protect the mosaic surfaces of precast concrete stairs during construction. Stairs take a lot of wear on site: impacts and knocks, water, snow, filler, paint, dust and other dirt. The rigid plywood protectors help prevent both soiling and mechanical damage, reducing repair work and costs towards the end of the project. They are durable enough to reuse on stairs with matching dimensions.
A practical design that supports site safety. The rough, mesh-patterned surface provides good grip, including when wet. Padding underneath lifts the protector slightly off the stair surface, leaving an air gap for moisture and dust to move beneath it. The protectors are joined together and secured at the bottom and top of the stair flight to form a sturdy protective system.
Made to measure and easy to install. Each protector is made to fit the stair element. Our standard protector fits 1,200 mm wide straight stairs with a tread going of 300 mm. It also fits stairs with a 270 mm tread going and a 20 mm nosing. The rise can range from 110 to 190 mm. We also make protectors for spiral stairs and stairs with special dimensions.
